GUJCET Result 2020, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Result 2020

GUJCET 2020 Result will be delcared in the month May 2020. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conducted the GUJCET 2020 in April. The detailed time table, exam pattern and GUJCET admit card for GUJCET 2020 can be found on the GUJCET official website www.gseb.org.

The GUJCET Result 2019 was declared on 9th May, for more than 2.67 lakh students taking the exam this year. Year 2018, the GUJCET Result was announced on 10 May, and the exam was held on 10 May, 2017.

The GUJCET is conducted by the GSHSEB to screen candidates for admissions into engineering, degree, diploma, and pharmacy courses in government-aided, government, and self-finance institutes of Gujarat. The examination will be conducted in Gujarati, Hindi and English medium.


The state government has done away with the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which was introduced in June 2013, with the previously held Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET), from the academic year 2016-2017 for students in Gujarat through a notification issued last year. The students will gain admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses based on merit wherein 60% weightage will be given to marks scored in four semesters and 40% to GUJCET percentile marks.


The GUJCET eligibility criteria states that students who have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board/institution can appear for the test. They need to secure a minimum of 45 per cent marks to apply for the GUJCET 2020 exam (40 per cent marks for reserved category candidates). The exam pattern consists of only multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) was established in the year 1960.
